Overview
Ever worried about burning through your monthly premium requests without realizing it?
It’s not unlimited, so running into the cap unexpectedly is no fun. The /usage command helps you keep track.
Usage
Run this in Copilot CLI:
/copilot> /usageYour session’s usage metrics and statistics are displayed.
/usage vs. /context
| Command | What it shows |
|---|---|
/usage | Request consumption & session stats |
/context | Context window token usage |
/usage tells you “how many requests you’ve used.” /context tells you “how bloated your conversation is.”
Tips to Save Requests
- Use
/planto plan before implementing (fewer wasted attempts) - Use
/compactto compress conversations (work more efficiently) - Use
/clearto reset when the conversation is going nowhere
